This lock of hair locket is crafted from 9 carat gold and suspended from a 16-inch chain. Measuring 22mm wide by 27mm tall (or 37mm including the bail), the locket features highly detailed engraving on both sides.

The front displays an intricate five-point star framed by a geometric border with a classical Greek key design at each corner. The reverse is decorated with ornate floral and foliate engravings.

Inside, the locket contains a preserved lock of hair, enclosed under an original cover, indicative of its likely sentimental or memorial purpose. The hinge and clasp are both secure, making this piece functional as well as decorative.
