An impressive looking brooch from the Victorian era.

Made of Pinchbeck and set with amber coloured stones.

Pinchbeck is a form of brass, an alloy of copper and zinc mixed in proportions so that it closely resembles gold in appearance.

The main brooch is an oval shape measuring 60 mm wide by 30 mm deep.

Set with three facet cut oval amber coloured stones which measure approximately 20 mm by 15 mm.

The stones are secured in rub over settings.

Above and to the sides of the stones is a scroll detailing.

Suspended from a chain at the bottom of the brooch is a further oval amber coloured stone in its own mount.

The brooch has a traditional pin and loop fastener which is made of metal.

With a weight of 28.7 grams, a solid brooch priced at £150.00.
